About My Background . . .

I have experience in current web design techniques as well as traditional web design techniques and methods. Originally self-taught from the late 1990's onward, I have also more recently studied at San Francisco State University's Multimedia Studies Program to update my skills. I generally am looking for work with direct clients, but I also accept contract work or temporary assignments with other companies or firms needing additional project staff for website design, prototyping, html and css coding, website updates and maintenance, or related needs in the area of photographic preparation, illustration, graphics, logos, pdf e-books, web or pdf forms, or preparation of video for the web.

You may send inquiries to: bonnie@bonifol.com.

My Portfolio Links . . .

Below are Sample Links for review as to the quality of my work:

Sample 1: My recent CSS Zen Garden assignment at SFSU. The CSS Zen Garden is an excerise in how css can change the look and feel of a web page without ever touching the main html code. I called my version "Forestscape."

Sample 2: Another recent SFSU web assignment using HTML5 - I called this one "The Key West Rat Pack." This assignment was for an HTML5 multi-page site using different layouts for each page.

Below are links to two personal websites:

Sample 3: Law Office website. Yes, I am not only a web designer but also a lawyer.

Sample 4: Follett Genealogy website. Putting my family genealogy online originally started my interest in web design. This site version is tables-based. I now prefer to use floats and clears or absolute positioning for site design.

Below are links to work done for former clients in previous years. These sites were tables-based and the work requested included graphics, logos and rollover navigation menus.

Sample 5: Hotel Brunswick. Sadly, this historic Arizona hotel became a victim of the sagging economy and was forced to close in 2009. Prior to closing the Brunswick was a historic Route 66 hotel known for its friendly ghosts. - See also Sample 5-A for a view of the Christmas Holiday page I prepared for their site.

Sample 6: International Foundation for Survival Research. This is an informational website for a non-profit organization with content relating to near death experiences suggesting life or consciousness surviving after bodily death. The client also wanted a large-text option to be provided for older viewers who may have vision problems where larger text would be helpful to their viewing of the site.
